About the tour

You will be staying in the Fishers Hotel situated in the heart of Pitlochry.  This majestic 7 day tour will take you to The Royal Deeside of Scotland where you will take in the spectacular scenery of Glenshee, Braemar, The Royal church of Crathie and Ballater.  A visit to Dalwhinnie Distillery, soup and sandwiches in the small quaint town of Kingussie along with the entrance fee into Blair Castle are all included in this amazing tour.

Excursion to the Trossachs and Callander

Day 1:

Depart our local area and make our way to the bustling tourist town of Pitlochry stopping en route for comfort and lunch stops before arriving in time at our hotel for our evening meal.

Scotland Border Day 1

Day 2:

After breakfast we make our way to the majestic Royal Deeside of Scotland travelling over the spittal of Glenshee stopping en route at Glenshee Ski Centre where you will have an opportunity to capture the magnificent surrounding scenery.  From Glenshee we then make our way to Braemar situated in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park for a comfort stop before travelling on to the The Royal Church of Crathie taking in the views of the stunning Balmoral Castle on the way.  From Crathie we then travel on to Ballater for some free time to explore this beautiful town where the Royal Family love to shop.  From Ballater we then make our way back to our hotel to refresh before our evening meal.

Balmoral Castle Day 2

Day 3:

After breakfast we make our way to Dalwhinnie Distillery for our guided tour of the Distillery where you will be shown the process involved in making single malt whiskey and a chance to taste two Dillwhinnie Whiskeys and a nibble of the matching chocolate.  Once warmed up from the whiskey we then travel on to the Duke of Gordon hotel situated in the small quaint town of Kingussie for refreshments of soup and sandwiches and then onto the historic town of Grantown on Spey.  After free time in Grantown on Spey we then make our way back to our hotel in time to refresh for our evening meal.

Dalwhinnie Distillery Day 3

Day 4:

After breakfast we make our way to Blair Castle situated in Blair Athell where you will have free time to explore this magnificent historic building and gardens.  After our historical full day we then return back to our hotel for our evening meal.

Day 4 The Royal Highlands

Day 5:

After breakfast we will have free time in Pitlochry to explore this beautiful Victorian Town before a lovely evening to enjoy our evening meal.

Pitlochry Day 5

Day 6:

After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to the charming historical village of Aberfoyle where we will have free time to explore before arriving at our lunch time stop at the Rob Roy Hotel to enjoy some soup and Sandwiches.  Once refreshed we then continue our tour to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Trossachs before our comfort stop at the bustling tourist town of Callander for free time to explore before we head back to our hotel arriving in time for our evening meal.

Day 6 The Royal Highlands

Day 7:

After breakfast we sadly say goodbye to our hotel and make our way back home with many fond memories of the Royal Deeside of Scotland.
