HOLIDAY BOOKING
TERMS AND CONDITIONS 2021

LUGGAGE Each passenger is allowed one medium sized suitcase (up to 30´´x 24´´ weighing no more than 33kgs) plus an overnight bag if required. Your driver or tour manager will ensure that every care in handling your luggage is taken. However, Platinum Coach Tours Ltd cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to luggage unless it is established that it is caused by the Company’s negligence. It is therefore highly recommended that passengers take out a nominally priced insurance policy against such loss or damage. Please note all Prescribed Medication and items of value should be kept on your person.

LIABILITY Platinum Coach Tours Ltd will not be liable for any loss, damage, additional expense, disappointment, injury, death or other harm suffered by any passenger, as a result of any breakdown, delay, change of route, accident or otherwise in the course of the holiday caused other than by the negligence of the Company, its servants or agents who are under the direct control of the Company. All arrangements made for hotel accommodation and for the use of road vehicles, ships, trains and other means of conveyance operated by persons or bodies other than the Company are made by the Company as agent for and on behalf of the passenger and on the express condition that save aforesaid the Company will not be responsible for any loss, delay or inconvenience sustained by or caused to passengers in any such hotel, vehicles, ships and trains or alternative means of conveyance.

DISABILITY It is essential that you inform us of any disability or special needs, for example wheel-chairs, oxygen cylinders… We can then advise if a particular holiday is suitable. Our coaches have no special fittings or lifts. Please note, occasionally, inclusions such as stately homes do not offer full access for Wheelchairs. You must inform us if you require any special assistance stated above prior to booking your holiday. Drivers and Tour Managers are not insured to physically assist passengers on and off the vehicles. Any assistance offered by the driver and accepted by you is at your own risk.

WHEELCHAIRS & WALKERS Due to space limitations we cannot accommodate Motor Scooters. Only folding wheelchairs and walking frames can be accepted.

LOST PROPERTY Lost property found on our vehicles will be kept at the office for 4 weeks. Any unclaimed items not collected within this time scale will be disposed of.

PRICE GUARANTEE The price of the holidays are guaranteed as per brochure with the exception of any government increases in taxation (e.g. VAT). In the event of any taxation increases, the company reserve the right to pass on the same increases without the option of cancellation. Prices stated in the brochure have been calculated with UK Vat at 20%.

BEHAVIOUR We reserve the unconditional right to refuse a booking or terminate a holiday should it be our, or our representative’s, reasonable opinion that the client’s behavior is likely to cause distress, danger, offence or damage to others. Platinum Coach Tours Ltd responsibilities to the client will cease at such, a termination therefore will not be responsible for the clients return travel arrangements and will not pay compensation, costs or refunds for the curtailment of the holiday.

THE HOLIDAY There may be times when, due to circumstances beyond our control, the holiday may vary from the brochure description. The company reserves the right to make these changes provided the holiday remains of a similar standard to that originally described. Other than in an emergency, or circumstances beyond our control during the holiday, where any major changes are made, including change of resort, lower standard of hotel for more than two nights or significant change of departure point (but excluding changes of excursions, itineraries or upgrades of accommodation), you will be notified of these changes and be given one of these options; (a) Accepting the holiday as modified. (b) Changing your holiday (c) Cancelling your holiday with a full refund.

CANCELLATIONS In the unlikely event should it occur we reserve the right to withdraw any holiday from the brochure and to refund to you all payments made. This shall be the limit of the Company’s liability, but every effort will be made to find you a suitable and similar alternative. N.B. All holidays are subject to obtaining a minimum number of persons. Where this is not achieved, Platinum Coach Tours Ltd will endeavour to inform clients of tour cancellation at least 21 days prior to departure. (Cancellation notice may be shorter on special holidays). Our liability shall be limited to full refund of all monies paid. Alternative holidays will be offered subject to availability.

EXCURSIONS AND ATTRACTIONS We will endeavour to fulfil all excursions as described in the itineraries, however, we do reserve the right to alter the details if required e.g. due to closure of attractions etc. Suitable alternatives will be provided in keeping within the tour where possible. In the event of an excursion being changed or withdrawn, it will not be deemed to be a major change on the holiday and will not be accepted as a reason for cancellation.

HOTEL/ HOTEL ROOMS AND FACILITIES Please note: when a double room is requested, but is not available, a twin room will be reserved. Special requests will be passed onto the appropriate persons and will be provided where possible however under no circumstances can they be guaranteed and will be subject to availability. In the event of unforeseen circumstances Platinum Coach Tours Ltd may deem it necessary to relocate the tour and reserve the right to use alternative accommodation without notice. Please note we cannot guarantee the operation of lifts, swimming pools, leisure equipment etc and accept no liability when not operational. Please note in some hotels there may be a surcharge for use of the leisure facilities ie swimming pool etc therefore would be solely down to the individual.

HOTEL ENTERTAINMENT AND THEMES A wide variety of entertainment is supplied by the hotels and we have specified the holidays in which it is provided. Please note however, that the style and frequency of entertainment is always at the management’s discretion.

ADVERSE WEATHER Platinum coach Tours Ltd accepts no liability for postponed or cancelled holidays, loss of excursions or entrances, due to adverse weather conditions. No refunds will be given.

ILLNESS If a member of your party develops an infection or contagious medical condition and represents a serious risk to other fellow passenger’s we reserve the right to refuse your booking or cancel your holiday. In the unlikely event you are hospitalised during your holiday a letter will be required to state that you are fit to travel on your return journey. Platinum Coach Services Ltd will not be liable for loss of enjoyment of the holiday.

COACHES AND SEAT ALLOCATIONS We operate 49 seater executive coaches with on-board W.C. on all of our UK and Irish coach tours within our brochure. Seat numbers are allocated on all our tours, however, under circumstances out of our control we may need to supply a vehicle of a different seating capacity and specification and seat numbers may not be guaranteed. Seatbelts are fitted to all seats and is a legal requirement to wear them whilst travelling. With the exception of water, food, drink, smoking or Vaping (E Cigarettes) are not permitted on our coaches.

DEPARTURE TIMES The full details of your coach departure point and times will be sent to you 2 weeks prior to your departure date. If alterations need to be made we will notify you within 7 days of your departure date but within 24 hours if required.

TIME KEEPING The company will not delay the departure of the coach if you arrive late at your departure point or on advised times on excursions days. The Company is not liable for any loss or expense suffered by passengers because they arrive late.

TRAVEL DELAY In the event of a coach delay on outward or return journeys we will attempt to minimise any inconvenience caused but cannot accept liability for the delays.

CUSTOMER CANCELLATIONS Cancellations can be made at any time but we must be informed by the person who is responsible for the booking and notified in writing within 7 days. Failure to do so may result in being liable for the full amount of your holiday. The date of cancellation will be taken and made as of the date that the company receives such cancellation in writing. Holiday payments cannot be transferred to alternative dates so we thoroughly recommend adequate insurance is purchased Cancellation Charges / Applied from receipt of written cancellation More than 42 days of departure Loss of Deposit Within 42 days to 29 days of departure 60% of holiday Within 28 days of departure 100% of holiday.

TRANSFER OF HOLIDAY TO SOMEONE ELSE Bookings can be transferred to someone else as long as they are able to comply with all the conditions of the holiday and reasonable notice is given. Changes cannot be applied no later than 14 days prior to the departure date and an administration charge of £25 will be applied for each individual transferred.

HOLIDAY ISSUES & COMPLAINTS Our ultimate aim is to ensure that you have a truly memorable holiday and will do our utmost to resolve any complaints that may occur. If you experience any dissatisfaction with your hotel please report to the hotel management, reception, driver or tour manager immediately in order to resolve any issues quickly. If your issues are not handled to your satisfaction please send a writien complaint within 7 days of returning from your holiday. No liability will be accepted for any complaints not reported to the driver/ tour manager or received after the stated time limit. We will endeavour to respond back to you within 21 days of receiving your letter.
