A perfect 4-day break to celebrate “Mothers Day” where you will be staying in the perfectly situated Palace Hotel in Paignton. With a little bit of retail therapy in Trego Mills to a delightful cream tea in the tranquil atmosphere of Buckfast Abbey and a visit to “Bygones” a heritage attraction packed with over 100 years of British history along with the use of the hotel’s leisure facilities including the heated indoor swimming pool this lovely little weekend away certainly covers it all.

Schedule
Day 1: Depart our local area and make our way to The Palace Hotel in Paignton stopping enroute at the Sparkford Inn in Yeovil for our lunch time stop. (Lunch not included in price).
Day 2: After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to Trego Mills where you will be spoilt for choice with all the bargains they have to offer in the many shopping departments within this Mill. After a little bit of retail therapy we then make our way to Buckfast Abbey, a living Benedictine Monastery famous for its extraordinary history and tranquil atmosphere. Here we will be able to enjoy a delicious cream before free time to explore this wonderful Abbey and its stunning grounds. After our exploring we then make our way to the fascinating historic town of Totnes for some free time before making our way back to our hotel in plenty of time to refresh before our evening meal.
Day 3: After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to “Bygones” a heritage attraction packed with over 100 years of British history, authentic curiosities and quirky memorabilia. Dating back to Victorian times through to Wartime Britain and a chance to “shop through Decades” with displays taken from the 40, 50’s and 60’s along with a 28 ft model railway for the train enthusiast this attraction is well worth a visit. After our time at Bygones we then head back to our hotel for free time in Paignton or an afternoon of pure relaxation in the hotels leisure suite where you can take advantage of the hotels swimming pool sauna and steam room. After your free afternoon you will have plenty of time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.
Day 4: After breakfast we sadly say goodbye to The Palace Hotel and make our way back home stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops.
