Schedule

Day 1: We depart our local area and make our way to Dover to board our ferry over to Calais. Upon arrival in Calais we continue our journey to our hotel The Van Der Valk Hotel Breukelen stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops and arriving at our hotel in plenty of time to refresh before our evening meal.

Day 2: After breakfast we make our way to Keukenhof Park to see “The Greatest Flower Show on Earth”. Here we will encounter a spectacular array of colour displays and impressive blooms that spread throughout the 32 acre themed gardens. 7 Million bulbs are planted in the autumn by 40 gardeners to make sure the beautiful displays are ready to wow us in the springtime! After our free time in the park we make our way back to our hotel arriving in plenty of time to refresh before our evening meal.

Day 3: After breakfast we make our way to Volendam “The Pearl of Zuiderzee” where we will have free time to explore the pretty architecture and well looked after streets of this quaint little fishing town. Take a stroll along the promenade, admire the quaint little shops or enjoy a coffee in one of the many café’s the choice is endless and if you are lucky enough you may even see one of the local’s dressed in Volendam’s traditional costume. After our free time we end our day with a visit to Simonehoeve, a cheese and clog factory where we will have ample time to discover how cheese and clogs are made. If you are brave enough you can even have a try at walking in a pair of clogs or if not perhaps enjoy a pastry and a coffee in the onsite restaurant. After a fun packed day we return back to our hotel arriving in plenty of time to refresh before our evening meal.

Day 4: After breakfast we depart The Van Der Valk Hotel Breukelen with cherished memories of our visit to the Dutch Bulbfields and the quaint harbour town of Volendam and make our way to Calais to board our ferry back to Dover. From Dover we then continue our journey back to our local area stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops.
