This exciting Springtime break begins with a visit to one of Cornwall’s premier attractions – The Eden Project – the world’s largest indoor rainforest and continues with a visit to the historical site of Bodmin Moor Jail to unlock some of Cornwall’s most darkest history. A visit to Port Issaac will also give the opportunity to spot some of the casting scenes for the popular series of “Doc Martin”. A perfect way to enjoy the Springtime!

Schedule

Day 1: We depart our local area and make our way to The Esplanade Hotel in Newquay stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops before arriving at our hotel in time for our evening meal.

Day 2: After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to one Cornwall’s premier attractions – The Eden Project where we will have a full day to explore and experience the sights and smells of the world’s largest rainforest in the Rainforest Biome, and walk amongst the orange and lemon trees and calming fragrance in the Mediterranean Biome as well as discovering the wide variety of plants in the 30-acre Outdoor Garden. After our day of exploring we make our way back to our hotel arriving in plenty of time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.

Day 3: After breakfast we depart our resort and make our way to the historical site of Bodmin Jail to unlock some of Cornwall’s most darkest history where we will discover the rich and darkly fascinating legacy of the Georgian and Victorian crime and punishment. Once we have broken out of jail we continue our journey to the traditional fishing town also known as Port Wenn – the home to the TV Series Doc Martin. Here we will have free time to spot where some of the scenes were filmed such as Doctor Ellinghams House , Mrs Tishell’s chemist and Bert’s restaurant or take a walk down one of the narrowest alleys in the UK known as both Temple Bar and Squeezy Belly Alley. After our time in Port Isaac we return back to our hotel arriving in time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.

Day 4: After breakfast we will have a free day to enjoy the vibrant seaside town of Newquay. With its beautiful golden sandy beaches, underwater walkway at Blue Reef Aquarium with its tanks of pufferfish, sharks and rays and a high street dotted with specialist local shops, national names and boutiques. Newquay has it all! After our free day we will have plenty of time to relax, refresh and enjoy our evening meal.

Day 5: After breakfast we sadly say goodbye to The Esplanade Hotel with fond memories of Newquay and make our way back to our local area stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops.
