Come and join us on another one of our weekend breaks where we will be busy exploring the historical city of Bristol, the beautiful city of Bath and an evening treat of enjoying the illuminated spectacular of Glastonbury Light Carnival – the largest procession of illuminated carnival carts in the UK and Europe. A fun packed weekend not to be missed!

Schedule

Day 1: Depart your local area and make our way to the Smiths Hotel Weston Super Mare stopping enroute for refreshment and comfort stops before arriving at our hotel in time to refresh before our evening meal.

Day 2: After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to the historical city of Bristol where we will have ample time to explore the historical and heritage sites. Visit the stunning medieval Cathedral known for its remarkable architecture and Lord Mayor’s Chapel, explore the Victorian masterpiece – Brunel’s SS Great Britain, the world’s first great ocean liner, or admire the most famous of Brunel’s masterpieces – The Clifton Suspension Bridge. Afterwards we return back to our hotel in time to refresh and enjoy our early evening meal before heading to Glastonbury to enjoy an illuminated spectacular regarded as the largest procession in the UK and Europe. Comprising of around 50 carnival carts the parade will bring an amazing spectacle of light, music and dancing. After enjoying the parade we return back to our hotel for a well-deserved rest.

Day 3: After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to the beautiful city of Bath where we will travel centuries in just a few steps. Visit the Roman Baths to see how our former settlers liked to unwind, wander through the story of one of Jane Austen’s classic novels as you stroll past the Royal Crescent and the Circus, take a walk over Pulteney Bridge where you will find small specialist shops and restaurants or relax on a boat trip along the river whilst admiring the beautiful views of Bath. After our free time in Bath we return back to our hotel arriving in plenty of time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.

Day 4: After breakfast we sadly depart our hotel with happy memories of our fun packed weekend and make our way home stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops.
