Come and step back in time on this fantastic five day tour where we will be visiting the living, working museum of Beamish and learn about life in North East England during the 18th & 19th Centuries and discover over 3000 years of incredible history in the award winning Bamburgh Castle. A fun packed five day tour full of history and nostalgia.

Schedule
Day 1: We depart our local area and make our way to the Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops. Upon arrival at our hotel we will be checked into our rooms to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.
Day 2: After breakfast we depart our hotel for our full day of exploring the world famous open air museum of Beamish where we will be able to learn about life in North East England during the 1820s, 1900s, 1940s and 1950s. From exploring what’s cooking in the pit cottages, to practising your handwriting in the school or visiting the Edwardian railway station with its signal box, waiting rooms and goods yard your day will certainly be packed with fun. After our day of exploring we return back to our hotel and arrive in plenty of time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.
Day 3: After breakfast we will have a free day to explore the bustling city of Newcastle. Steeped in history, heritage and breathtaking architecture this city will keep you busy! Visit the haunting Victorian tunnels to learn about the wartime history, enjoy a spot of vintage shopping at the Grainger Market up in the old town or enjoy a spot of lunch in the award winning restaurants. After our full day of exploring there will be plenty of time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.
Day 4: After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to the award winning Bamburgh Castle where we will discover over 3000 years of incredible history. Here we will have ample time to explore the fortress and see historic treasures, roam through land steeped with history, discover stories behind every stone and fall in love with legends whilst taking in the fantastic tales of the “Last Kingdom”. After our time exploring we return back to our hotel arriving in plenty of time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.
Day 5: After breakfast we sadly say a fond farewell to Newcastle and make our journey home stopping enroute for refreshment and comfort stops.
