Cheshire’s Bright Lights & Christmas Markets

Day 1: We depart our local area and make our way to the AC Hotel by Marriott Manchester Salford Quays stopping enroute for refreshment and comfort stops before arriving at our hotel to be greeted with mince pies, tea and coffee before refreshing to enjoy our evening meal.

Day 2: After breakfast we make our way to Wigan Pier to board our barge for a 3 hour relaxing cruise along the Leeds and Liverpool Canal to enjoy the lovely countryside whilst indulging in a delicious festive cream tea. After our cruise we make our way to the wonderful city of Manchester with ample time to wander through the famous Christmas Market and enjoy the seasonal treats, mulled wine and a wonderful festive atmosphere. With over 200 stalls selling homemade gifts, craft items and delicious foods the market caters for everyone. After our free time in Manchester we make our way back to our hotel arriving in time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.

Day 3: After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to the historical picturesque town of Chester where we will have plenty of time to browse Chester’s Christmas Market to find that perfect gift, explore the many historical attractions including the stunning cathedral and have a spot of lunch in one of the many eateries. After our time in Chester we make our way to the English country house Dunham Massey to enjoy the after dark spectacular illuminated Winter Lights Trail that meander through the formal gardens and deer park. Afterwards we return back to our hotel to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.

Day 4: After breakfast we depart Cheshire with some lovely festive memories and return back to our local area stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops.
