Admire the beautiful scenery of the Ribble Valley whilst visiting the picturesque town of Clitheroe and the village of Chipping and finishing our tour with an enjoyable scenic cruise aboard the luxury Dalesman canal boat whilst enjoy a delicious cream tea. Day 1: Depart our local area and make our way to our the Auckland Hotel in Morecombe stopping enroute for refreshment and comfort stops arriving in time for our evening meal
Day 2: After breakfast we depart our hotel to meet our guide for an exciting day of exploring. Starting our day with the Pendle Witch Tour which tells the story of the most famous witchcraft trial in English history. Hear of dark deeds and wicked plots as we visit where it all happened in an area that has changed little in 400 years. After our tour we then stop at Borrowford heritage centre for refreshments before continuing onto the ancient market town of Clitheroe set in the Ribble Valley for our lunchtime stop. From Clitheroe we then continue over the Ribble in to the fabulous west riding – an area owned by King Charles before arriving at the beautiful village of Chipping for an afternoon refreshment stop. From Chipping we then make our journey to our hotel arriving in time to enjoy our evening meal.
Day 3: After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to Skipton to board our luxury Dalesman Canal Boat for a two hour cruise on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. With a fully stocked bar, you might want to start your cruise with a drink before admiring the scenery whilst enjoying a delicious Cream Tea served with a selection of sandwiches, fruit scone with strawberry jam and cream and finishing with decadent desserts. All served with unlimited tea and coffee. After our leisurely cruise we will have free time to explore the historical market town of Skipton steeped in immense history and rich culture before returning back to our hotel in plenty of time to refresh before our evening meal.
Day 4: After breakfast we sadly depart the Auckland Hotel to make our way home with some lovely memories to cherish from our fantastic weekend away stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops.
