Schedule

Day 1: We depart our local area and make our way to Portsmouth where we will have some free time in Gun Wharf Quays before boarding our boat over to the Isle of Wight. Once we arrive in the Isle of Wight we make our way to The Channel View Hotel arriving in plenty of time to refresh before our evening meal.

Day 2: After breakfast we make our way to Godshill, the perfect English Village which boasts some of the oldest architecture on the island. Here we will have some free time to explore before continuing our journey to the The Isle of Wight Donkey Sanctuary where we will enjoy a guided tour and a chance to meet the donkeys. After our guided tour we will be spoilt with a tasty cream tea in the Grazers Café overlooking the Wroxall Valleys before returning to our hotel arriving in plenty of time to refresh before our evening meal.

Day 3: After breakfast we depart our hotel for a full day exploring the island visiting the Old Town of Shanklin, the Wight Mouse Inn for a refreshment stop, the famous Needles at Freshwater Bay, and Yarmouth. After our tour we travel back to our hotel arriving in time to refresh before our evening meal.

Day 4: After breakfast we make our way to Havenstreet Station to board our steam train to experience the golden age of travel as we settle back in the beautifully restored Victorian carriages and enjoy the island’s unspoilt countryside. After returning back to Havenstreet Station you will have some free time in the station to discover the railway’s history before returning back to our hotel to enjoy some free time before refreshing for our evening meal.

Day 5: After breakfast we sadly say goodbye to The Channel View Hotel with fond memories of our visit to the Isle of Wight and make our way to Fishbourne to board our ferry back to Portsmouth. From Portsmouth we travel onto our lunchtime stop at Arundel before we make our way back to our local area.
