A fabulous tour exploring the scenic coastal resorts and dramatic moorland of North Yorkshire. With visits to Whitby, Thornton-le-Dale, Helmsley Walled Garden and an enjoyable train journey on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Not forgetting the added extras of a cup of tea/coffee and slice of cake whilst enjoying our train journey and a freshly baked scone and cup of tea in the Vine House Café.

DAY 1 Depart our local area and make our way to the Crown Spa Hotel stopping enroute for refreshment and comfort stops before arriving at our hotel in time to refresh before our evening meal.
DAY 2 After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to the thriving seaside town of Whitby where we will have ample free time to discover the fascinating Maritime history, visit Captain Cook’s Museum, take a stroll along the piers and enjoy a fish & chip lunch before we embark on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway with a tea or coffee and slice of cake to enjoy one of the world’s greatest heritage railway experiences to Pickering. Once we arrive in Pickering we board our coach to make our way back to our hotel arriving in plenty of time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.
DAY 3 After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to the picturesque village of Thornton-le-Dale, known for its charming thatched cottages, historical architecture and beautiful surroundings. Here we will have some free time before continuing our journey onto Helmsley Walled Gardens where we will enjoy a guided tour of the beautiful themed garden rooms ablaze with colour, a haven for bees, butterflies and lovers of tranquility. After our guided tour we make our way to the Vine House Café to enjoy a freshly baked scone and cup of tea before making our way to our hotel to refresh before our evening meal.
DAY 4 After breakfast we will have a free day to explore the charming seaside town of Scarborough. From relaxing on the award winning beaches, exploring its historic landmarks, from ancient fortresses to grand architectural gems that reveal the town’s rich past or taking a stroll along the breathtaking coastline the choice is endless. If relaxing sounds appealing why not take this opportunity to spoil yourself and enjoy the hotel’s leisure and spa facilities. After our free day there will be plenty of time to refresh before we enjoy our last evening meal of our holiday.
DAY 5 After breakfast we sadly depart our hotel with happy memories and make our way home stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops.
