A new tour for 2025! Come with us to explore the beautiful coastal town of Sidmouth and the surrounding area. From a relaxing ride on a narrow gauge tram to a visit to Sidmouth’s Donkey Sanctuary and a two centered seaside daytrip to the charming towns of Dawlish and Teignmouth this wonderful 5 day tour will not disappoint.
Schedule
Day 1: Depart our local area and make our way to The Kingswood Hotel in Sidmouth stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops and arriving in time for our evening meal.
Day 2: After breakfast we make our way to Seaton Tramway where we will board our narrow gauge heritage tram for a relaxing ride through East Devon’s glorious Axe Valley whilst taking in the beauty of two nature reserves and an unrivalled view of the magnificent bird life. Afterwards we continue our journey and make our way to The Donkey Sanctuary to meet the many donkeys who are enjoying their golden years in their happy ever after home. Here we will have ample time to wander or enjoy a cup of tea or coffee with a slice of cake in the Sactuary Restaurant. After our fun packed day we return back to our hotel arriving in plenty of time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.
Day 3: After breakfast we depart our hotel for our two centered seaside town daytrip where our first visit will take us to the charming town of Dawlish – home to the famous black swan where we will have some free time to enjoy this traditional seaside town with its Victorian and Regency style before continuing our journey onto our second destination – the stunning coastal town of Teignmouth here we will have some free time to enjoy the beautiful Georgian style buildings, walk along the magnificent pier or indulge in a bit of retail therapy in the lovely high street. After our full day of exploring we return back to our hotel in plenty of time to refresh before our evening meal.
Day 4: After breakfast we will have a free day to enjoy the beautiful coastal town of Sidmouth, why not take a stroll along the pebble made Millenium Walkway or explore the town centre, steeped in royal and architectural history, bag a few bargains in the great range of shops or enjoy a spot of lunch in the many café’s and restaurants. The choice is endless! After our free time of exploring we will have plenty of time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.
Day 5: After breakfast we say farewell to The Kingswood Hotel with some lovely memories of our time in Sidmouth and make our way back home stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops.
