This fantastic 7 day tour takes in the beautiful beach of St Brelade’s Bay, Corbiere Lighthouse, the idyllic harbour of Gorey, a visit to the War Time Tunnels and much much more. Schedule
Day 1: We depart our local area and make our way to our overnight hotel, the Suncliff Hotel in Bournemouth stopping enroute for refreshment and comfort stops before arriving at our hotel in plenty of time for our evening meal.
Day 2: After breakfast we make our way to Poole to board our ferry as foot passengers over to Jersey. Upon our arrival in Jersey we meet our coach and head to our main stay hotel - The Merton Hotel in St Saviour arriving in plenty of time to refresh before our evening meal.
Day 3: After breakfast we depart our hotel for a full day guided tour of the island visiting St Aubin’s Bay, the stunning beach of St Brelade’s Bay, Corbiere Lighthouse – an unusual lighthouse set on a tidal island out at sea, St Ouen’s Bay – the longest beach of the island, Grieve de lecq and Gorey Harbour – an idyllic harbour village. During our tour we will also visit the Neolithic passage grave at La Hougue Bie, home to one of the 10 oldest buildings in the world. After our full day exploring we return back to our hotel to refresh before our evening meal.
Day 4: After breakfast we will have a day at leisure to explore St Saviour, take advantage of the hop on, hop off bus or take a 20 minute walk into St Helier – the capital of jersey. Here there will be time to explore the cobblestone streets, visit the award-winning museums and attractions or enjoy a spot of lunch in the town’s antique harbour lined with pubs and cafes. After a leisurely day we will have time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal and relaxing evening.
Day 5: After breakfast we make our way to Hamptonne Country Life Museum for an insight into a rural way of life in Jersey that has carried on for centuries. Afterwards we make our way to explore Jersey’s intricate War Time Tunnels, built during the German occupation of the Island in WWll. After our time in the tunnel’s we make our way back to our hotel arriving in plenty of time to refresh before our evening meal.
Day 6: Today we say goodbye to the Merton hotel with fond memories of our visit to Jersey - the gem of the Chanel Island and make our way to the port to catch our ferry back to Poole where we rejoin our coach and make our way to The Suncliff hotel for our evening meal and overnight stay.
Day 7: After breakfast we board our coach and make our way back home stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops.
