Schedule

Day 1: Depart our local area and make our way to our overnight hotel in Stirling stopping enroute for refreshment and comfort stops and a visit to the historic spa town of Moffat.

Day 2: Depart our overnight hotel and make our way to Kingussie stopping enroute at the the vibrant, bustling town of Pitlochry where you will have free time to explore this beautiful historic town. Departing Pitlochry we then make our way to the Duke of Gordon Hotel in Kingussie arriving in time for our evening meal.

Day 3: Depart our hotel and make our way to Spean Bridge ‘the crossroads of the highlands’ situated at the junction of roads north to Inverness and the Isle of Skye, south to Fort William and east through Glen Spean and iconically known for the Commando Memorial – a monument raised in memory of the officers and men of the commando’s who died in the second world war. From the monument you will experience the spectacular views of The Great Glen. Departing the Commando Memorial we then travel on to Fort William ‘the gateway of Ben Nevis’ with free time to explore before making our way back to the hotel in time for our evening meal.

Day 4: Depart our hotel and make our way to Loch Ness travelling down the side of the Loch on our way to the Loch Ness Exhibition centre where you will have free time to visit the exhibition centre. Travelling on we then make our way to Urqhart Castle for a photo stop, a ruin that sits beside Loch Ness, from here you will get a magnificent view of the Loch and if lucky may even get a glimpse of the Loch Ness Monster. After Urqhart Castle we then make our way to Fort Augustus a town situated at the southern point of Loch Ness and forms part of the Caledonian Canal before returning back to our hotel in time for our evening meal.

Day 5: A day to explore Kingussie or relax in the hotel.

Day 6: Depart our hotel and make our way to our overnight hotel in Stirling stopping enroute at Taste Perthshire in Bankfoot to enjoy a tasty cream tea.

Day 7: Depart our hotel to make our journey home stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops and a visit to Gretna Green. A picturesque town situated on the Scottish side of the borders of Scotland and England, famous for weddings following the marriage act which prevented couples under the age of 21 marrying in England and Wales without their parent’s consent. A visit to the Blacksmiths Shop is always a popular venue with visitors
