After breakfast we depart the hotel for a full day excursion to the beautiful market town of Keswick where you will board our boat cruise around Derwent Water. Once back on dry land you will have ample free time to explore Keswick and perhaps purchase a pencil or two. We then depart Keswick and travel onto Grassmere for free time to explore this tranquil village situated in the heart of the Lake District. After free time exploring we then make our way back to our hotel in time for our evening meal.

After breakfast we depart the hotel for a full day excursion travelling down the side of Ullswater, moving through Glenridding and Patterdale before arriving at Windermere – Bowness where we will have free time to explore the magnificent waters edge and amazing craft shops. We then move on travelling around the top of Lake Windermere via Ambleside onto Hawkshead where we will have free time to explore. After our free time we move onto Haverthwaite Steam Railway to board our train to Lakeside enjoying a “Cream Tea” whilst absorbing the beautiful picturesque scenery. After our eventful day we then travel back to our hotel in time for our evening meal.

After breakfast we depart the hotel for a morning visit to the historic city of Carlisle where you will have free time to explore before we head over the border of Scotland for an afternoon visit to Gretna Green, the wedding capital of the UK with over 260 years of history and heritage. After our visit to Greta Green we make our journey back to our hotel arriving in time to enjoy our evening meal.

After breakfast we depart our hotel to make our way home with a visit to Mainsgill Farm Shop situated on the edge of the North Pennines. After our visit we continue our journey home stopping en route for comfort and refreshment stops.
