About the tour
A fabulous tour exploring the scenic views of the Peak District and a trip down memory lane! With visits to the famous village Eyam “Plague Village”, the Peak District’s prettiest village Castleton, the popular town of Matlock and a chance to sample the famous “Bakewell Pudding” in Bakewell. However, this tour doesn’t end there as we travel back in time and visit the Crich Tramway and the Great British Car Museum too. With a fun packed itinerary this tour is one not to be missed!

Day 2:
After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to Eyam Museum where we will learn all about the famous village of Eyam known as “plague village” and hear the incredible story of how the Plague was brought to the village and how its unselfish villagers contained the disease from spreading to the neighbouring communities. After our free time in the museum and visiting the village of Eyam we continue our journey onto Castleton, one of the Peak District’s most beautiful villages. Here we will have time to explore and enjoy a spot of lunch in the numerous cafés, tea rooms and pubs Castleton has to offer before making our way back to our hotel arriving in plenty of time to refresh before our evening meal.
Day 3:
After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to the market town of Bakewell, the largest town in the Peak District National Park and best known for its unique delicious pudding, medieval five-arched stone bridge and mellow stone buildings. Here we will have ample time to explore and perhaps taste the famous “Bakewell Pudding” before continuing our journey onto the popular town of Matlock. With pretty riverside walks, pretty streets full of small independent shops and a host of Cafes, pubs and restaurants Matlock is the perfect location to enjoy a relaxing afternoon. If you are brave enough you could always take a cable car flight to the “Heights of Abraham”! After our free time exploring we return back to our hotel arriving in time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.
Day 4:
After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to Crich Tramway Village where we will have ample time to embrace the olden days, explore the period set village and take a tram along the high street or even have a tipple in the functioning period pub. Departing Crich we then venture onto the Great British Car Journey Museum. Upon arrival at the Museum we will be greeted with a delicious buffet, tea and coffee to enjoy before learning the fascinating stories of the entrepreneur’s that built the British motor industry. From Herbert Austin to William Morris and the Rootes Brothers, you will discover how they built their empires as you explore the cars they created and may even have driven! After our day of going back in time we return back to our hotel arriving in time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.
