Begin the spring time with this fantastic tour exploring Weston Super Mare and the Mendip Hills. This 5 day break includes a full day exploring the ancient spa town of Bath with plenty of time to visit the famous Roman Baths or marvel at the elegant Georgian architecture, a visit to the stunning Wells Cathedral, time in Chedder Gorge – the iconic natural gem nestled in the Mendip Hills and a free day to explore the coastal town of Weston Super Mare.

Day 1:

We depart our local area and make our way to the fantastic Smiths Hotel in Weston Super Mare stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops before arriving at the hotel before our evening meal.

Day 2:

After breakfast we depart our hotel for our full day to explore the ancient spa town of Bath and its incredible historical and cultural gems. From the spectacular Georgian architecture to the fine historic site of the Roman Baths and for any book worms The Jane Austen Centre telling the story of Bath’s most famous resident. This beautiful city has it all including an array of independent shops for any shopping enthusiasts to enjoy. After our day of exploring we return back to our hotel arriving in time to refresh before our evening meal.
Weston Super Mare the Mendip Hills Day 2

Day 3:

After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to Chedder Gorge, a limestone gorge known for being one of Britain’s most spectacular landmarks nestled in the Medhip Hills where we will have some free time to explore before continuing our journey onto the spectacular Wells Cathedral. A Cathedral that inspired the pilgrims for nearly 850 years and is one of the earliest English Cathedrals to be built in the Gothic style housing the oldest medieval clock faces in the world. With it’s stunning scissor Arches and the picturesque and medieval vicars close this beautiful Cathedral is well worth a visit along with the Bishop’s Palace – home to the Bishops of Bath and Wells for 800 years. After our time in this magnificent cathedral & Palace we return back to our hotel arriving in time to refresh before our evening meal.
Solo Adventure in Harrogate Day3

Day 4:

After breakfast we have a free day to explore the seaside town of Weston Super Mare with its beautiful walks, huge sandy beach, Europe’s biggest helicopter museum, Banksy’s pinwheel in the town museum and the Grand Pier with its rides, arcades and attractions not forgetting a delicious Cream Tea that will be hosted in our hotel throughout the day for us to enjoy. After our free time we will have plenty of time to refresh before enjoying our last evening meal together.
Weston Super Mare the Mendip Hills Day 4

Day 5:

After breakfast we sadly say goodbye to the Smiths Hotel and make our way back home stopping enroute at Clark’s Village before retuning back to our local area.
