Staying in the beautiful Bellevue Hotel situated on the banks of the Rhine is the perfect location to explore some of the best German markets Germany has to offer with visits to the Christmas markets of Rudesheim, Koblenz and Cochem. Beauty beyond words and a festive welcoming atmosphere awaits you!
Schedule
Day 1: We depart our local area and make our way to Dover to board our ferry over to France. Once we arrive in France we then make our way to the hotel Bellevue Rheinhotel in Boppard stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops before arriving in time to refresh before our evening meal.
Day 2: After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to Rudesheim Germany’s most popular and liveliest Rhine River town and home to Drosselgasse – the most famous street in Germany. Here we will have ample time to wander through one of Germany’s most beautiful Christmas markets with over 120 diverse stalls. After our time in Rudesheim we board our coach and make our way back to our hotel arriving in time to refresh before enjoying our evening meal.
Day 3: After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to the traditional German town of Cochem with its half-timbered houses and situated in a stunning scenic location on the Mosel River. Here we will have some free time to explore this historic town, enjoy a guided tour of the spectacular castle or visit Cochem’s Christmas market known to be just as beautiful as the town itself with its festively decorated wooden stalls selling all the gifts and crafts we can only wish for. After our time in Cochem we return back to our hotel arriving in plenty of time to refresh before our evening meal.
Day 4: After breakfast we depart our hotel and make our way to Koblenz one of Germany’s oldest and most beautiful cities – characterised by cosy wine taverns, narrow alleyways and a welcoming atmosphere. Here we will have ample time to browse the 130 festive-decorated wooden stalls of Koblenz’s Christmas market, the ideal place to purchase gifts and unique handmade items and admire the stunning setting - the meeting point of the Rhine and Moselle Rivers. After our time in Koblenz we return back to our coach to return to our hotel arriving in time to enjoy our evening meal.
Day 5: After breakfast we sadly say a fond farewell to the Bellevue Hotel and make our way to board our ferry back to Dover stopping enroute for comfort and refreshment stops. Once we arrive in Dover we continue our journey back to our local area.
